Creativity: A Paths Where Humanity & Divinity Meet
Matthew Fox, PhD
Creativity is that which identifies us as human beings - and also
as Divine beings. It is that which we have in common with the Divine
whether one thinks of Prometheus, Adam, imago dei, Buddha Nature or
the Christ. It is also that which gets us in such deep trouble as
a species that Aquinas can say "one human being can do more evil
than all the other species put together." Explore this amazing
power we have, how to unleash it and nourish it and steer it to the
good.
Presenter Bio: A
postmodern theologian, Matthew has been an ordained priest since 1967.
He is president of the University of Creation Spirituality. He is
the author of 24 books, including Original Blessing, Passion for
Creation: The Earth-Honoring Spirituality of Meister Eckhart, Sins
of the Spirit, Blessings of the Flesh and Natural Grace (with
Rupert Sheldrake). His latest book is One River, Many Wells.

The Evolution of Consciousness
and Conscious Evolution
Barbara Marx Hubbard
The advent of conscious evolution marks the evolution of evolution
as we enter the "Life Era" capable of influencing evolution
by conscious choice. What form of consciousness is required to guide
the application of science in the Third Millennium?
Presenter Bio: Barbara is a futurist, author, US Vice Presidential nominee and visionary TV host. She is the Founder and President of the Foundation for Conscious Evolution, and is the author of four books including her most recent, Conscious
Evolution: Awakening the Power of Our Social Potential.

From Belief to Heredity:
The Relationship Between Perception and Genes
Bruce Lipton, PhD
Recent recognition of cellular genetic engineering mechanisms
reveal a new understanding of how gene programs are dynamically modified
to conform to the organism's perception of its environment. You will
learn how organisms selectively modify their genes through "adaptive
mutations" - gene alterations derived through purposeful interactions
with the environment. Through these interactions, cells create molecular
perception "filters" which control gene expression. These
perception processing molecules represent physical units of biological
consciousness. The molecular information pathways described define
how learning experiences actively shape our physiological and behavioral
expression.
Presenter Bio: Following postdoctoral research at the University of Texas, Bruce joined the Department of Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin's School of Medicine. His research on muscular dystrophy employed cloned human muscle cells to reveal the molecular mechanisms controlling cell behavior. Bruce resigned his tenured professor position to pursue an independent study integrating quantum physics with cell biology. His research revealed that the biology of the cell was controlled by the environment, an observation that contrasted with established dogma that life is controlled by genes. To examine the validity of his findings, Bruce returned to academia as a Research Fellow at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Research substantiating his hypothesis resulted in two major scientific publications that defined molecular pathways connecting the mind and body. Recognizing that his academic knowledge on cell and organismal control mechanisms applied to his "personal" biology as well, Bruce employed his newly found scientific principles to redefine the mechanisms by which he was carrying out his own life. This endeavor brought immediate and profound changes. Not only did the new science improve his physical well being, it also led to conscious decisions that greatly improved the quality of his day-to-day existence.
